# Automation

Automations enable you to receive ongoing funding while ensuring invoice acceleration only on your chosen parameters.

Now, you can automate manual tasks like daily or weekly invoice exclusions (based on criteria like the number of days the invoice would be paid early). Instead of logging in to manually turn participation on and off, automations can participate on your behalf based on your rules. With Automations, you can “set and forget” early payment and have more control over your cash flow.

## Where to find it

Open **Early Pay** → **Automation** from the left navigation. If you do not see Automation, it may not be enabled for your account.

## Two types of automation

Early Pay offers two ways to automate your workflow. You can use one or both on a division:

- **Invoice rules:** Automatically include or exclude invoices based on criteria such as days paid early, due date, amount, or invoice ID. Use this when you want ongoing control over your offer—for example, excluding invoices paid more than 90 days early.

- **Offer schedule:** Turn participation on or off on a recurring calendar. Use this when you want to automate when you participate in the market—for example, turning participation on only on certain days or seasons.

## Getting started

On the Automation page you can:

- Browse **Suggested Templates** for common invoice-rule patterns.
- Click **Create Automation** to add invoice rules or configure a schedule.
- Review and manage existing automations in the **Active Automations** table.

## 💡 Tips

- Start with one division when testing a new automation before applying it broadly.
- Invoice rules and schedules can work together on the same division.
- Offer schedules follow Market Processing Hours in US-Central Time.
